Data released by the General Administration of Customs on September 7 showed that in US dollars, due to the decline in textile exports, textile and apparel exports fell for the fourth consecutive month in August, but the decline was smaller than the previous month. Due to the return of overseas orders, clothing exports maintained a good growth momentum, and the growth rate of exports continued to expand that month. From January to August, the cumulative export trend of textile and apparel was steady, achieving growth compared with the same period in 2020 and 2019.

From January to August 2021, the total export of textiles and apparel was 128.492 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.57% over the same period last year (the same below), and an increase of 6.17% over the same period in 2019. Among them, textile exports were 60.83 billion yuan, a decrease of 18.54%, and an increase over the same period in 2019. 11.06%, clothing exports 684.09 billion yuan, an increase of 17.68%, an increase of 2.22% over the same period in 2019. In August, textile and apparel exports were 194.76 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.23%, a month-on-month increase of 7.37%, and an increase of 10.03% over the same period in 2019. Among them, textile exports were 80.97 billion yuan, a decrease of 21.56%, a month-on-month increase of 7.87%, and an increase of 17.45% over the same period in 2019. , Clothing exports were 113.79 billion yuan, an increase of 0.05%, an increase of 7.02% month-on-month, and an increase of 5.29% over the same period in 2019.

From January to August 2021, textile and apparel exports totaled US$198.468 billion, an increase of 5.90%, and an increase of 11.85% over 2019. Among them, textile exports were US$92.773 billion, a decrease of 11.47% and an increase of 16.85% over 2019. Clothing exports were US$105.695 billion. An increase of 27.95%, an increase of 7.81% over 2019.
In August, textile and apparel exports were US$30.123 billion, down 2.59%, up 6.54% month-on-month, and up 17.15% year-on-year. Among them, textile exports were US$12.524 billion, down 14.90%, up 7.06% month-on-month, and up 25.06% year-on-year. , Clothing exports were 17.599 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.59%, an increase of 6.18% from the previous month, and an increase of 12.10% over the same period in 2019.
